Just asking...

Have you ever experienced a period in your life that is just so good, you want to stop the clock and hold time still because it can only go downhill from there?

All four years of college were like that for me; since then, the moments have been more fleeting. But I know them when I see them. Of course, I still don't know what to do with them.

I can't stop time; I can only enjoy it until it runs out.

West Virgina is favored by 25 today. But yes, Laurie, I know exactly how you feel. I remember it being the second day of freshmen orientation and going to a party alone by the "Rose Garden" on Clarendon only to find my roomate and half a dozen other people from B.B. Another moment senior year when I started hanging out with Jay again and he tagged along with me and realized we knew all of the same people but they never knew us as roomates. We said to each other, how did that happen? Sophmore year I lived across the hall from Mike D and we knew each other through Jim but never hung out until the NCAA basketball tounament. We quickly became in the same circle of friends again. Senior year I could count on him to be out on Thursday night and sharing rounds of Guinness. I always was in contact with Milks knowing he would be out on the weekend and even for a while when he first moved to Chicago. I look back and I see so many good times. Every weekend was an experience. Emotions were high and the possibilities were endless. I'm not sure I'll ever live that lifestyle again but its not because I didn't enjoy it or don't want to be that social but its because the attitudes of the people around me are more responsible and less reckless.

Noj - what is your email address? I have to send you something funny. And no, it's not a paper invite to a party at 227 Clarendon. Although I do still have some of those in my photo album. If you want to live that lifestyle again, simply move to NYC or LA - people are still plenty reckless and that's what I love about these cities!
